2139 Ventures isn’t just another invesment fund. It’s the fulfillment of a dream that began at MIT to create a venture platform in Cambridge that does for the East Coast what Silicon Valley did for the West: believe in the impossible, fund the bold, and turn innovation into enduring companies.

Anand Bhadouria Founder & Managing Partner

“I started 2139 Ventures because of something Clay Christensen said in one of my MIT classes almost 20 years ago. We were discussing why so many industry defining companies were emerging from Silicon Valley such as Google, Cisco, and Sun Microsystems. The conclusion was simple: they supported bold ideas early and without hesitation.
That moment stayed with me.
I promised myself that one day, I would return to MIT not as a student, but as an investor who backs bold founders with the same belief, courage, and long term commitment that created the world’s most important technology companies.
2139 Ventures was born from that commitment.
Originally focused on the MIT and Harvard ecosystem, it has now grown into my global personal investment platform. I invest my own capital in founders who have the conviction to take bold swings at the future.
I am a small part of this ecosystem, but I take my part seriously.”

Anand Bhadouria

Founder & Managing Partner

MIT alumnus | Former Microsoft, HPE, and Dell Executive | 30+ years in technology and innovation

I spent over three decades building and leading technology businesses at Microsoft, Dell, and HP across the United States, Asia, and emerging markets. I have helped scale teams, launch products, drive revenue, and solve complex global challenges. I also own more than 100 rental units, and I provide access to this portfolio for PropTech founders who want to dogfood and validate their products in real homes with real tenants. A YC backed startup from a recent batch has already used this portfolio as a live dogfood environment. This real world setting allows founders to gather feedback, run pilots, and refine their products with actual usage and operational data. Through 2139 Ventures, I bring that experience directly to founders. I invest personally, which means decisions are fast, alignment is simple, and partnerships are based on trust rather than committees.

What We Stand For

Backing Bold Builders — Not Just Brilliant Ones

We invest in founders who take unreasonable bets on the future — the ones who challenge assumptions, push through doubt, and create what others said couldn’t be built.

We focus on founders from MIT and Harvard because that’s where deep technical mastery meets intellectual humility — a rare combination that produces world-changing companies.

Selective by Design

We invest in very few companies each year so we can go deep with each founder—our capital comes with attention, not just funding.
